Before administering any medicine, livestock producers or farm technicians also need to determine which dosing unit is specified on the product label, the concentration or strength of the active ingredient, whether the route of administration is appropriate, and how the calculated amount should be converted into mL, tablets, sachets, or quantities to be prepared for a herd or flock.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, two products containing the same active ingredient but at different concentrations will not require the same volume. volume of water.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>g\/tonne of feed:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the amount of product to be mixed into a specified quantity of feed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other dosing methods specified by the manufacturer.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The key principle is to use <\/span><b>the exact dosing unit stated on the product label<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the product label states:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 mL\/10 kg body weight<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">there is generally no need to convert
